Last month we moved into a new home which has been really exciting, but a huge adjustment for all of us. Olive came home from the hospital to our old, cute house, and a lot of love and excitement went into decorating her nursery before her arrival. Leaving was definitely bittersweet as I really felt like I was saying goodbye to my little newborn baby sanctuary. It was a place where we spent countless hours nursing, rocking, soothing, and learning about each other. Her room was a very special place where I felt like I really became a mom and my life changed forever. These are memories that I wouldn’t give up for the world.
That being said our new home offers us a lot more space to grow and is in an adorable, walkable neighbourhood. Olive’s new room is bright and sunny, and best of all has a lot more space for her to play!
I don’t feel ready to share the whole thing yet as it is a continuous work in progress, but here are a few snap shots taken this morning.
